VIDEO: 50 Cent Disses Fat Joe Pt. 27

I've been avoiding posting all this 50 Cent video stuff where he takes on 50 Cent, but I've got to give credit where credit is due and this is just so surgically precise and funny I have to post it.

LISTEN: Fat Joe - That White (Prod. by DJ Premier)

DOWNLOAD Fat Joe - That White (Prod. by DJ Premier) (MP3)

This is a clean CDQ without tags. Not the webrip that was out there over the weekend. A lot of you youngens might not remember the days when Fat Joe was actually one of the better street rappers out there with excellent beat choices and great street talk and real flows. This was before he went on vacation to Wackalonia with Lil' Wayne and R. Kelly, bought a blue mink coat and returned a changed man. This is a track off of Elephant In The Room and, though it could've been improved topic matter wise, the flow and the beat, courtesy of DJ Premier, are hot.

Joe has also gotten into a scuffle over the weekend with the SRA (skinniest rapper alive), Papoose. Miss Info has more on that. Thought this picture would be appropriate.

UPDATE: Joe comments on the Papoose scuffle here.

DOWNLOAD Cuban Link - Moment Of Truth ft Remy Ma & Triple Seis (MP3)

This track was intended to be a Fat Joe diss, but the amount of piled up mediocrity collected here ends up making it more of a Cuban Link/Remy Ma/Triple Seis diss.

NEWS: DJ Khaled Starts New Label

DJ Khaled has announced a new label deal for We The Best Music (I just e-rolled my eyes) with Def Jam. My guess is we'll see some posse cuts with Young Jeezy, Fat Joe, Akon, Lil' Wayne, T.I., T-Pain, Rick Ross and the other usual suspects. Even his press release reads like a bad SNL skit.

"I'm proud to be a member of the Def Jam family," said DJ Khaled. "Def Jam has been and still is one of the most important institutions in hip hop AND music as a whole. I am extremely honored and excited to be a partner with them in We The Best Music. I look forward to creating great music and continuing the success. LA, Shakir and Lenny S are you ready? I am!!! Let’s go!! Caaaaassssshhhhh Flooooowww!!! And remember....We global....global, we're international.....international! We The Best Music/Def Jam....get ready for history!!!"

LISTEN: Fat Joe Interview

DOWNLOAD Fat Joe Interview (MP3)

Fat Joe doesn't like you anymore. Listen to DJ Booth's interview, and read an excerpt below.

DJ Booth: That’s good, stay out of trouble. “Elephant in the Room,” as I mentioned off the top, is dropping in March. The title is a reference to the staying power that you’ve had in the industry, and the subsequent lack of respect you feel you’ve been shown. Is that all there is to it?

Fat Joe: Absolutely. It’s like, the room is hip hop, and the elephant is me. Every time I see these countdowns of, who are the top ten rappers, they never want to mention my name. If you look at the longevity of an artist, somebody comes out and is an overnight sensation, and by the next album, its wack, and they’re not even in the game no more. So you got somebody givin’ you eight albums and a whole bunch of other joints – classics, anthems, underground bangers – and still, the elephant’s in the room… “Oh, my favorite MC is Ja Rule!” “My favorite MC is Jay-Z!” And the elephant is standin’ right in front of them, like, “Turn on your radio. Listen. Look at TV, look who’s on the box, all day.” You might wanna mumble my name??

VIDEO: Fat Joe - 300 Brolic

Fat Joe's first video off of Elephant in the Room. More info on the album here. Produced by The Hitmen. Joe had a pretty good flow before he starting jacking Weezy's already. Speaking of Lil' Wayne, you'll hear his voice at the end in the Rik Cordero/Blue Magic jacking part of the video.

DOWNLOAD Cuban Link - You’re Not Hood (MP3)

Terror Squad outcast Cuban Link takes on his former mentor Fat Joe as well as inexplicably going for DJ Khaled and Rick Ross. I hear that as a response DJ Khaled is working on a variation on an intro where he screams something about being the best. It's going to have Baby, Jeezy, Rick Ross, Lil' Wayne and T-Pain on it.

LISTEN: Birdman - Make Way ft. Fat Joe & Lil' Wayne

DOWNLOAD Birdman - Make Way ft. Fat Joe & Lil' Wayne (MP3)

Though I regret Fat Joe transformation into his the Weezy loving, commercial attempting bling rapper, and 'making it rain' is my pick for most asinine phrase of the year, I still like his voice even when he isn't really saying anything anymore. He guests on Birdman/Baby's 'Make Way' off of 5 Star Stunna which also features Lil' Wayne. Back to back Cash Money posts, what is happening to this blog.

VIDEO: DJ Khaled - I'm So Hood RMX ft. Everybody

I think DJ Khaled should to have a reality TV show, or maybe a cartoon. This is the remix to 'I'm So Hood' featuring Young Jeezy, Ludacris, Busta Rhymes, Big Boi, Lil Wayne, Fat Joe, Baby and Rick Ross. Even KRS One makes an appearance in the video.

NEWS: Fat Joe Announces Album, Chooses Bad Title

Now if you're Fat Joe, why would you choose The Elephant In The Room as your album title?

"Imperial Records, a division of Capitol Music Group and Terror Squad Entertainment have signed a new deal to distribute Fat Joe's next album entitled The Elephant in the Room, slated for release in early 2008. Fat Joe's new release is a follow-up to his previous critically-acclaimed album, Me, Myself & I, featuring the double platinum single, "Make It Rain."

Fat Joe's The Elephant In The Room will feature production by the multi-platinum powerhouses that previously worked with Fat Joe on his earlier hits, including Scott Storch, Cool and Dre, DJ Khaled, Danjahandz and the Runners, as well as guest artists P. Diddy, Rick Ross, Fabolous and more."
