Praverb collected a few of his freeverses and some new material into the excellent The Gospel Is Free mixtape. Stand out track 'Da Grind' is a great example of what I believe is the emerging group of 'New Reality MC's'. Genuine and real, and coming from a point of study and love for the art form. The ones working hard, no longer hung up on bragging about their platinum records or jewelry, since that won't be happening much anymore either and people are more and more over it. And that doesn't mean this new class of rappers is necessarily of the backpack kind. They are more diverse and come from all ideologies. They have more in common with the 1980/90's class of MCs before the big money came in. "Those first week sales don't mean nothing/especially when your album is full of filler cousin/see me man, i work a 9 to 5 coz rap dont pay the bills/im trying to stay alive, survive and grind/rely on this mind to seek direction coz we fall short when we see perfection".
