The Pumpkins Return

For the most part I managed to miss the entire Grunge and alternative rock era as I was sucked in completely by Hip Hop at the time, but there were a handful of exceptions. Smashing Pumpkins was the one main exception. After a break up a few years ago Billy brought back the catalog and the drummer, replaced James Iha and Darcy and started the new run with a small show in Paris a few days ago. The third show was today at the legendary Pinkpop Festival in the Netherlands. It's the oldest annual festival in the world and has been running for 38 years straight in a town not far from where I grew up.

Well those are big news. The Smashing Pumpkins is a great band and I was really looking forward to listen something new. the last thing I knew about them was their collaboration with the Viagra Pharmacy music advertisements; but that was 5 years ago.
