LISTEN: Joe Budden Interview By Kay Slay

DOWNLOAD Joe Budden Interview By Kay Slay (10/16) (MP3)

Kay Slay interviews Joe Budden on Shade 45. It's one big mess in that studio, a bunch people talking through each other, breather into the microphone. If you're not hung over or have a headache it's still recommended listening for that car crash appeal. After a while the noise dies down and Joe has some really interesting things to say about the future of the industry, going digital and not being on the streets.

Bonus: Eskay has 5 tracks off of Mood Music 3.

NEWS: Kay Slay Hustles Jive Records For $1.5 Mill

I guess I was wrong when I said that signing Papoose to Jive Records was a bad business move. It was a bad move only for Jive. Kay Slay hustled them out of that $1.5 million signing bonus.

“It was like a fucking year of hell,” DJ Kay Slay said. “They meant well, they believed in the project. Unfortunately we almost became victims of A&R hell. You can not put a 60-something year-old white man on a 20-something year-old black kid’s project from Brooklyn and think it’s going to pop. We wound up with records that we didn’t want to come out.”

Was it really unclear previous to signing this deal who the A&R would end up being? I doubt it. It's funny how money changes situations.

LISTEN: Sheek Louch

DOWNLOAD Sheek Louch - Ain't No Love (MP3)

Sheek Louch sounds hungrier than usual on this one. From a Kay Slay's Hate Is The New Love mixtape. Bit short and with Kay Slay screaming at the beginning, but worth a listen.

Oh Snap.

Apparently 50 Cent had a breakdown and tore up his G-Unit offices while screaming on the phone to his label Interscope Records. Ms. Info had a post up that I discovered through this Nahright post. I then found that Ms. Info's post had mysteriously been deleted, not cached by google either. HipHopDX still has some excerpts from the original Ms Info post up. This all is apparently over 50's next single/video, Follow My Lead ft Robin Thicke being leaked. Watch the video below.

UPDATE Video Removed: This video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by Universal Music Group.

Ms. Info excerpt via Hip HopDx.

"50 was screaming into his blackberry phone, he was on a rampage, he ripped off the 70 inch plasma on the wall and then to top it off, he threw his phone straight thru the window of his executive office….shattering the glass all over thirtysomething street."

The report alleges that the source of this outburst may be traced to the words he said before he threw the phone out of the window: "He yelled 'You’re fucking everything up, youre messing up my look, my album, so you know what, I’m on fuckin' vacation now. Fuck you and fuck Interscope."

Bonus Listen to 50 being interviewed by Kay Slay last night.
